Local Information - What to do in Santa Fe?
A City Different - Lots of Information!

Santa Fe’s premier year-round performing arts center: a state-of-the art
venue for theater, music, dance, film, lectures, community events and family
programming set in a historic theater in the heart of the City Different.

Every July and August since 1957, opera lovers have been drawn to the magnificent
northern New Mexico mountains to enjoy productions by one of America's premier
summer opera festivals. Here, The Santa Fe Opera's dramatic adobe theater blends
harmoniously with the high desert landscape. It is this fusion of nature and
art that leaves such an enduring impression on all who come. More than half
the audience of 85,000 comes from outside New Mexico representing every state
in the union as well as Canada and Europe.

Let's EAT - a listing and description of restaurants for the
area
One word defines New Mexican cuisine: chiles, which find their way
into everything from hamburgers to eggs. There are two varieties, green
and red, and choosing an allegiance is a bit like picking a favorite football
team. (You can always ask for "Christmas"—meaning both.) Green
is fresher and brighter tasting, while red is smokier and often hotter.
The preponderance of chiles and the lack of cilantro separate New Mexican
cuisine from Mexican. Quiet the heat with after-dinner sopapillas—doughy,
fluffy fried-bread confections meant to be dribbled with honey.
