Meet Susan

“Not a native, but I got here as fast as I could.” I always smile when I see that bumper sticker because it describes me and many of my clients! I was born in Texas and raised in Marin County, California, but Santa Fe has been my home for the past 33 years. I love it here, and there is no place else I would rather be. There is truly something magical about driving back into town and seeing the Sangre de Cristo Mountains in the distance. Santa Fe has it all—breathtaking vistas, incredible weather, clean air, world-class restaurants, a vibrant cultural scene, great neighbors, and more. When I’m not selling real estate, I enjoy spending time with my Australian Cattle Dog, Driftin (Ch.Warrukadli XXXX Power HIC CGC RN). Dog training is a special interest, and I have served as Training Director for the Santa Fe Dog Obedience Club, as well as one of the Club’s most popular teachers. The Club has also worked to transition dogs from shelters and rescue organizations to a fresh life with their new owner. In addition, I have served on the board of the Australian Cattle Dog Rescue, Inc.

Currently I am working with Hope-Howse to initiate and run the Cell Dog Program at the state prison. These programs have been initiated across the country and have been beneficial to both prisoners and dogs alike. The dogs are adopted out to caring homes after the training. I’ve lived in this beautiful city for three decades, and I have deep roots here. My colleagues call me “Walking Resource Book" because of my extensive knowledge and expertise in the Santa Fe area.
